After officially transitioning my closet over to my fall/winter wardrobe, I noticed a serious trend: so. many. plaids! Whether it’s cozy flannel pajama pants or a button-down shirt, I can’t seem to resist the pattern as soon as there’s a little chill in the air and this Old Navy plaid skirt is clearly no exception. I dressed the skirt up a bit with a neck tie blouse and my favorite pair of pumps (how good is the patent finish on this M. Gemi pair?!) for a look that I’ll definitely be recreating as soon as holiday party season rolls around.

For only $15, this plaid skirt is one of my favorite fall finds recently – I’m planning on dressing it down next for the workday by pairing it with black tights, flat black ankle boots and a black tee with a cozy cardigan layered over it. A dark plaid like this can be a great neutral and plays really nicely with all other neutrals in a variety of textures and patterns.
