Stepping into Fall with Lucky Brand.

I’m still not quite sure how it happened but Labor Day weekend is just around the corner which means… it’s time to start thinking fall. Growing up on the east coast I can remember always getting excited about fall and it’s vibrant colors with the changing leaves and perfect weather where it’s crisp, but not cold. After the heat and humidity of summer, I was always more than ready to trade in my shorts for sweaters and sandals for boots.

Although San Francisco’s weather is basically autumn all year round (summer’s not really ending here, it never began this year!), I still carry that same fall mindset with me and love switching my closet over to autumn mode. One of the first changes I always tend to make is switching out my sandals for ankle boots – over the years of city living I’ve become obsessed with ankle boots and recently placed a big Zappos order to add some new options to the mix. Lately I’ve been wearing them non-stop, leaning into a more bohemian look and pairing them with dresses, or sticking to the classics for a day at the office with skinny jeans and a white oxford. The flat heel is city friendly for lots of walking and I’m obsessed with the western inspired design that adds a little bit of edge.
