When the calendar says spring but the weather says 61 degrees, you’ve got to get a little creative. Gingham is everywhere right now (and I’m not complaining!) and I recently snagged this gingham sweater from J. Crew to make the most of the trend but in a way that makes sense for the unpredictable weather and fog of the Bay Area.

White denim has been my other secret to dressing like spring without freezing my butt off on chilly days – I grabbed this high waisted pair of skinny white denim from Madewell last year and they’re oh so comfortable. I always just feel a little more put together when wearing a crisp white pair of denim and the chunky low heel on these Dansko clogs are the perfect finishing touch to put some spring in my step (and they’re amazing for walking around the city – I can wear ’em all day without any discomfort!)
